No-bake Oreo Cheesecake

Image
Note: Yes, I used ice cream for this cheesecake, just because. The ice cream adds yumminess to the cheesecake. Feel free to use whipped cream instead (you may add a little more confectioners' sugar), but why not using ice cream when you can, right? Ingredients : 100 grams Oreos without cream for the base, finely crushed 40 grams butter, melted 250 grams cream cheese, room temperature 20 grams confectioners' sugar 1 tbsp powdered gelatin 3 tbsp water 250 grams vanilla ice cream 100 grams whole Oreos for filling Methods : To finely crush the Oreos, place them in a large plastic bag. Using a rolling pin, beat the living daylights out of it until it crumbles. Finish it by rolling it out until becomes fine crumbs. Mix with melted butter well, then press this dough at the base of 20-22 cm round pan. Let it sit in the freezer while you prepare the rest. Soften the ice cream using a spoon or spatula, let it sit in the room temperature for a while. In a small sau...

Ice Cream Bread

Image
I'm so glad I found this recipe! It's a bread that is made of ice cream. Yes! And it's so easy to make. It's a great option to use up left over ice cream that has been piled up in our freezer at  RockyBars  kitchen. And think about the variations! The taste would depend on the ice cream you use. I used chocolate-chip ice cream. As I'm writing this I'm thinking about strawberry-cheesecake-cookie-dough ice cream. Yummm. Green Tea Cookies

Image
What's with all this green tea craze? People seems hysterical about anything with green tea in it. I'm intrigued, and my curiosity is enough to bring me to buy some green tea powder on the baking-supply store. Quite expensive for such minuscule package, I must say. Anyway, let's turn that famous powder into cookies! Of course!  Pick your favorite cookies recipe. Add generous amount of green tea powder to the flour mix. Substitute brown sugar with white sugar, and chocolate-chips with white chocolate-chips. Because I think green tea would go well with white chocolate. And I'm right. The cookies are sooo good I wanna cry.  But I think it's because, you know, cookies are like my most favorite snack in the world. Not because the green tea. I still don't get what this green tea madness is all about.  Anyway, this is how I bring them to the next level: Let's start chocolate-chip-cookie-ice-cream-sandwiches craze!

Homemade Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Image
Strawberry cheesecake is good enough, how about strawberry cheesecake ICE CREAM? Total NOM! P.s. no machine required. Start by preparing strawberry pie filling. There's a step-by-step to make it here . Then make crumbs. I used crushed digestive biscuit + melted butter. For the ice cream, mix together butter, cream cheese, whipped cream, sweet condensed milk, and lemon juice.  Throw in the crumbs, stir.  Then throw in the strawberry filling. Fold gently, do not overmix! Yum! At this point, sneak a spoonful or two wouldn't kill. Just remember to pour the rest into a container. Cover and freeze overnight.  Enjoy!
