Mix in eggs one by one. Shift together flour and baking powder, stir into the batter until combine. Peel and core the apple then divide into 8 parts (or just slice thinly). Pour the batter into buttered cake pan, top with apple slices. Bake at 180 centigrade for 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. When done, glaze the cake with honey. It's our family's all-time favorite. I don't know where the original recipe come from, my mom got the recipe from her older sister. She wrote it in an old notebook with other family's old recipes. Since I was a little my mom used to bake this cake on special occasions. She used to double the cheese, made it so cheesy any cheese lover would fall for it. Now that she doesn't really bake anymore I try to make it myself. Turns out as good as hers, with double portions of cheese of course.
