What's with all this green tea craze? People seems hysterical about anything with green tea in it. I'm intrigued, and my curiosity is enough to bring me to buy some green tea powder on the baking-supply store. Quite expensive for such minuscule package, I must say. Anyway, let's turn that famous powder into cookies! Of course!
Pick your favorite cookies recipe. Add generous amount of green tea powder to the flour mix. Substitute brown sugar with white sugar, and chocolate-chips with white chocolate-chips. Because I think green tea would go well with white chocolate. And I'm right. The cookies are sooo good I wanna cry.
But I think it's because, you know, cookies are like my most favorite snack in the world. Not because the green tea. I still don't get what this green tea madness is all about.
Anyway, this is how I bring them to the next level:
A pandan-flavored sponge cake with butter cream and shredded cheddar cheese topping, a well-known combination of sweet and savory, delish! To make it even better you could replace the butter cream with cream cheese frosting. Yum!
Bahan tart pastry: 120 g terigu 25 g gula kastor 60 g salted butter dingin 1 kuning telur 1/2 - 1 sdt air/susu
Bahan Cheese Custard: 150 g cream cheese 60 g mascarpone cheese 40 g salted butter 100 g susu cair 30 g gula kastor 8-10 g maizena 1 btr telur 1 sdm perasan lemon 1/4 sdt sea salt 1 kuning telur + sedikit susu untuk olesan.
Cara membuat: Pastry: campur terigu dan gula, masukkan mentega, aduk2 dengan ujung jari hingga berbutir. Masukkan telur dan air/susu, aduk rata, bulatkan. Bungkus plastic wrap, istirahatkan di kulkas. Custard: tempatkan cream cheese, mascarpone, butter, susu, dan gula di panci stainless steel yang diletakkan di atas panci lain berisi air (ditim). Panaskan sambil diaduk hingga meleleh dan larut. Ayakkan maizena, aduk rata. Masukkan telur, lemon, dan garam, aduk hingga mengental. Angkat, biarkan dingin. Gilas tipis adonan pastry, cetak lingkaran, padatkan di loyang tartlet, tusuk2 dengan garpu. Panggang suhu 160-170 C…
