Mango & Pineapple Pie, Step By Step


Make the pate brisee using your favorite recipe. This or this one have very detailed methods. 
Mix up the filling: mango chunks, pineapple chunks, sugar to your liking, a little cornstarch, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Pour into the base.
Prepare the top crust. You could spare some time to make a lattice top if you like, or go simple like me: just make a hole in the center with a simple but cute shape. I choose star shape.



Cover the pie carefully, seal the edge. Bake until golden and the filling is bubbling (this is why we need the hole).


Ta-daaa!
